The credit union is donating funds for every new checking account, auto loan, or home loan they open directly to The Food Depot\u2014northern New Mexico\u2019s food bank.<br \/>\nThe campaign to raise funds began November 23rd and will run through the end of the year. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to help some of the most rural areas in northern New Mexico get the essential meals they need to survive during a pandemic. According to The Food Depot\u2019s website, The Food Depot \u201chelp[s] people of all ages with differing needs\u2014those living in remote villages as well as in our largest cities and towns.\u201d Del Norte Credit Union\u2019s Forward Together program will benefit the food bank as follows:<\/p>\n<p>New Checking Accounts will generate $5 or 20 meals.<br \/>\nNew Auto Loans funded will generate $10 or 40 meals.<br \/>\nNew Home Loans closed will generate $15 or 60 meals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is another way we connect our mission of Improving Lives to the products and services we offer our membership\u2014and now more than ever, we wanted to highlight that,\u201d says Chuck Valenti, CEO\/President of DNCU. \u201cWith the Forward Together program, our future and current members can see how the cooperative spirit of not-for-profit financial institutions works to better our communities and support the greater good of all that live here.\u201d<br \/>\nOpening a new checking account, applying for auto loans and home loans is fast, safe and easy with the credit union\u2019s recently updated website, www.dncu.com.
