Heading into this holiday season, the Del Norte LOV Foundation<\/a> begins another exciting year-end full of giving back and improving lives. The Del Norte LOV Foundation is an independent foundation associated with DNCU and is an employee-driven, nonprofit organization with a mission to improve lives of youth and families in New Mexico through its community support programs, which include scholarships, community grants, financial literacy, sponsorships, and community engagement. The Del Norte LOV Foundation and its partners are hosting events focused on charitable fundraising and giving back to our beloved communities and members during this special time of the year. Mark your calendars for a chance to give back to those you care about this holiday season.<\/p>\n

Thrive with LOV Mural Art Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

November 12th<\/sup> kicks off the Thrive with LOV Mural Art Project. The Del Norte LOV Foundation has partnered with Thrive Community School and ARTsmart NM to bring a traveling mural to New Mexico. Students at Thrive Community School are creating a colorful and vibrant 10\u2019 x 10\u2019 mural that will travel to different DNCU branches. Grades K-2 will be focused on paintings embodying \u201cwhat love means to them\u201d while grades 3-6 will be creating a mural focused on how to \u201cimprove lives.\u201d\u00a0 Businesses and members will be given a chance to donate to both classrooms and individual students to support the art mural. This wholesome local mural will be on display at DNCU branches from November 12th<\/sup> through January 23rd,<\/sup> so don\u2019t miss it! Dine Out with LOV<\/strong><\/p>\n

On November 16th<\/sup>, Fundaxi will be partnering with the Del Norte LOV Foundation to host the Dine Out with LOV fundraiser. This fundraiser will be taking place at select restaurants throughout Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Espa\u00f1ola and Santa Fe. All you need to do to support the Foundation for this fundraiser is go eat at a participating restaurant, order your food, and show your flyer. It\u2019s that simple! Please<\/strong> don\u2019t forget to bring your flyer<\/strong> (printed or digital) so the proceeds can go directly back to the foundation and our communities.<\/p>\n

Giving Tuesday <\/strong><\/p>\n

Every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday celebrates nonprofits and giving back to our communities. This year\u2019s Giving Tuesday falls on November 29th<\/sup>. What started as nothing more than a benevolent idea, has transformed into a worldwide day\/event dedicated to acts of generosity. Giving Tuesday is a global movement focused on charitable donations towards individuals and organizations in need. It is a chance to give back to the communities you love and the nonprofits that keep those communities thriving. Family Movie Night with LOV<\/strong><\/p>\n

In December, Violet Crown of Santa Fe is generously sponsoring and partnering with the Del Norte LOV Foundation in hosting its first \u201cFamily Movie Night with LOV.\u201d A portion of the ticket proceeds will go back to the Del Norte LOV Foundation in order to support its mission and values of serving its community and members. Grab some popcorn and soda and head on over to the Violet Crown to support your local 501(c)(3) non-profit. Dates and times to be announced.<\/p>\n

2023 Del Norte LOV Foundation Calendar Produced by DNCU<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next on the list is the much anticipated 2023 Del Norte LOV Foundation Calendar Produced by DNCU. Previously belonging to DNCU, the Del Norte LOV Foundation is utilizing the calendar as a fundraiser and will offer them with a $5 suggested donation to directly support its 2023 Scholarship Program. The calendar has been a mainstay at DNCU for years, and this one is sure to not disappoint. This year\u2019s theme is \u201cHometown Pride\u201d featuring local pictures from participating members and stunning views of our beautiful state. The calendar will be distributed from December 1 \u2013 31, 2022 at all eight DNCU branches. The calendar is a must for anyone looking to donate to a good cause while grabbing a long-standing member favorite.<\/p>\n
