Theme Music Submission Guidelines

Call for Submissions: Theme music for our new Del Norte Credit Union podcast, Financial Tea in the Morning

The selected cover art establishes the audio branding of the podcast, as it will be featured in the beginning and end of each podcast episode.

The creator of the selected music will receive $100, in addition to credit in our podcast show notes and at the end of each episode.

CREATIVE BRIEF

We are open to a variety of styles from acoustic to American folk, a short theme song or jingle, or just instrumental.

You may take inspiration from themes of finance, money, banking, tea, morning, New Mexico, Mariachi, Norteño, membership, family, etc.

The full length of the track should be between 90 seconds to 3 minutes, keeping in mind that we may use the full or partial track in the beginning and again at the end of each episode. A different section of the track may be used for each placement.

If you decide to use lyrics, there should also be at least a 30 second segment of just instrumental OR an instrumental version without vocals.

Music that is easily loop-able and extendable to fit different situations, is preferred.

While the genre is flexible, the feeling should be something you would want to listen to in the morning while you are getting ready to start your day.

Cover Art Submission Guidelines

Call for Submissions: Cover art for our new Del Norte Credit Union podcast, Financial Tea in the Morning

The selected cover art becomes the face of the podcast, as it will be featured across podcast listening apps, on the website, and in promotional materials.

The creator of the selected design will receive $100, in addition to credit in our podcast show notes.

CREATIVE BRIEF

We are open to a variety of styles including photographic, unique font-based, illustrative, iconic. You may riff off of themes of finance, money, banking, tea, morning, New Mexico, membership, etc.

In any design the name of the show should be prominent and legible as a tiny square in an app on your phone.

The overall design should hold up when magnified as in on a t-shirt, poster, etc.

Avoid using the word “Podcast”, overused images such as microphones and headphones, any other logos, too much text, or placing important text at the bottom of the design (it may be obscured by play progress indicators in certain apps.)

While not required, we are interested in the incorporation of the DNCU Valero Star as a graphic element or inspiration in the design. Our Star emblem personifies DNCU as a shining beacon of hope. It has been traditionally used for centuries in New Mexico. From Ancestral Pueblo culture to present day, it’s a symbolic reminder that we are all connected and part of the same community. The sharp edges of our star also help build the visual elements of our communications—this brings a modern and minimalist approach to our brand.

  • Limit 3 entries per person, team or firm.
