Del Norte Credit Union Announces Five-Year Partnership with Santa Fe Public Schools Athletics 

$100,000 investment will support student-athletes and expand opportunities across the district 

SANTA FE, N.M. – Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU) is proud to announce a new five-year partnership with Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS), committing $100,000 to support student-athletes and athletic programs throughout the district. As a Platinum Community Partner, DNCU will invest $20,000 annually to help fund equipment, travel, team needs, and other resources that enhance the student-athlete experience.  

The partnership reflects DNCU’s commitment to strengthening communities by investing in youth and creating opportunities for future success.

Molenda, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Del Norte Credit Union. “Athletics teaches lessons that extend far beyond the playing field, including perseverance, teamwork, accountability, and leadership. We are proud to partner with Santa Fe Public Schools to help create opportunities that support student success both in competition and in life.” 

For more than 70 years, DNCU has supported initiatives that create lasting impact across Northern New Mexico. This investment aligns with the credit union’s values of community, empowerment, and service while helping students succeed on and off the field. The partnership also creates opportunities for DNCU to engage with students and families as the credit union prepares to launch Climb, its upcoming youth banking program.  

“As a member-owned financial cooperative, we are committed to being a partner in our communities for the long term,” added John R. Molenda, Jr.. “This five-year commitment reflects our belief that when young people are supported, entire communities benefit. We are also excited to introduce Climb in the future and continue expanding the resources and experiences available to local families.” 

The agreement establishes DNCU as a Platinum-level partner of SFPS Athletics through 2031 and reinforces the credit union’s long-term commitment to Northern New Mexico.
